SILENT DEATH ROCKETS ACROSS AMERICA ONLINE'S GAME CHANNEL

Kesmai Corporation Brings Popular Space Combat Game to AOL

Charlottesville, VA – Deccember 17, 1999 – Kesmai Corporation, a leading publisher and developer of online games, today announced the launch of Silent Death Online, a multiplayer space combat game, on America Online's Games Channel. Based on a popular board game, Silent Death Online features thousands of players simultaneously battling for control of the universe.

"We're thrilled to deliver another exciting game to AOL's Game Channel," said Kesmai Studios creative director Dave Marsh, executive producer of Silent Death Online. "The beta test for Silent Death Online created a large fan base for the game and we expect that following to evolve into a flourishing community on the Games Channel.

"Silent Death Online is a perfect game for the AOL audience – it's fast-paced, action-packed and presents numerous challenges for both new and veteran space ship commanders."

Developed by Mythic Entertainment and based on a license from Iron Crown Enterprises, Silent Death Online is an arena-based, multiplayer online game of ship-to-ship space combat. Thousands of players play in fast paced combat arenas, piloting ships and forming alliances with others in the conquest for known space.

Using a top-down view, intrepid ship captains begin the game in a small, lightly armed spacecraft. As they grow in experience, players can increase their ship's capabilities until they are piloting a lethal, heavily armed fighter. Player ships can be customized with almost 60 different weapons, hulls, shields, engines and repair bots.

Players can launch their own arenas and determine victory conditions, collaborate with other players and battle rival teams. Ships can be built from over nine different hulls, 11 engines and shield types, and 27 deadly weapons to turn opponents into space dust.

"The placement of Silent Death Online on AOL is a company milestone," said Mark Jacobs, president of Mythic Entertainment. "Our partnership with Kesmai and use of their tremendous technology enabled Silent Death Online to be launched on AOL with great ease and speed."
