The December issue of PLAY magazines is now out, which features an article by Mike Griffin about his recent visit to EA Mythic to play Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. We think he enjoyed it…

""Warhammer Online's Realm vs. Realm gameplay represents some of the best PvP objectives I've experienced in a MMO with some very clever battleground design. And this RvR gives the game a real sense of consequence."

"I haven't had this much fun in a fantasy MMO game in years."

Elves Bring the Magic to Warhammer Online
October 15, 2007
1up.com just ran their Warhammer Online preview, and the story received some awesome placement on the front page of their PC section.

To read the full preview, please visit: http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3163493

"With at least a few months until Warhammer Online's planned 2008 release, plenty of time remains for the guys at Mythic to show off all of these recent additions. The new Elven races in particular will find much play at the Warhammer Traveling Booth of Joy, a place for fans to check out the game that will journey to various conventions and events through the rest of the year. An open beta is also still in the works for "sometime before launch." With all of that, four more classes to announce, and other surprises yet to be revealed, Mythic has no intention of losing visibility before the release."

WAR Devs chat with the fans on IRC
October 12, 2007
MMORPG.com held a chat on IRC to allow the fans to ask the Devs at WAR some questions. Almost 500 people attended the chat for a chance to ask the team at WAR all that they desired and covered topics from guilds, to PVE, to tentacles.

"One of the major ways we intend to foster that sense of pride and place and belonging is via the guild system. We're aiming to build into the guild experience a sense of purpose and direction that will make it worthwhile to stick with a guild long term. That said, we certainly hope people will try a lot of things out in game."

"Armed with years of refining large scale online Realm vs. Realm warfare in Dark Age of Camelot, Realm vs. Realm warfare in Warhammer Online promises to be a fun and challenging experience. How does WAR RvR compare to DAoC I wanted to know. 'You can head out to the war camps at any level. That's the way we've designed RvR,' said Ryan Bernard. 'It's open warfare on the frontier.'"

WAR in Game Informer Magazine
May 17, 2007
Check out the June '07 issue of Game Informer magazine for great preview of WAR. Here are a couple snippets of what they had to say:

"Anyone who even remotely follows massively multiplayer gaming should be aware by now that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning from EA Mythic promises to be the next great player-versus-player MMORPG."

"For our money, these public quests are absolutely brilliant. Not only are they somewhat dynamic content that add to the fiction of the game world and make it seem more alive; they serve as a great way to get people to play together and get to know each other, easing the newbies into the social interactions that make the MMO experience so much fun."

"Since the game won't be out for another year, though, we'll just leave you with the knowledge that we think Warhammer has the capability to tear us away from WoW when it comes out."
